Fintona 1-11 Owen Roes 2-6

An Owen Roes reserve side boosted by several returning experienced players went down by a pair of points in a wet Fintona on Sunday.

Mark O'Neill hit a penalty in the first half, as the hosts went in one ahead thanks to scores from Dermot McGoldrick, Scott Gray, Jason Donnelly, Sean Kelly and Sean Henry. Declan McCrossan with the sole Owen Roes point.

Poor defending by Fintona let Clarke Stephenson in for a major as Owen Roes took early control in the second period. Ronan Parker, McCrossan, O'Neill and John Harper (0-2) all added to the Owen Roes tally as they looked to be heading for a win. However a late Mark McCoole goal win the game for Fintona.
