DECLAN MC CROSSAN BRINGS SAM MAGUIRE TO LECKPATRICK.
(may take a while to load)
The Sam Maguire Cup paid another visit to the Clubrooms in Glenmornan on Saturday 11th October but this time it wasn't in the hands of a Donegal or Derry All-Ireland champion but in the hands of Tyrone and Owen Roe O'Neills' own All-Ireland champion, Declan Mc Crossan.
It was a proud moment for all concerned with the Club to see Declan carrying the Cup up the car park, through the guard of honour of Youth players, on to the stage and for him to triumphantly lift Gaelic Football's greatest prize to the cheers and appreciation of the several hundred adults and children who had turned out.
Those in attendance heard Club Chairman, Patsy Mc Gonigle welcome the Tyrone representatives to Leckpatrick, then some words from County Chairman, Liam Neilis, manager Mickey Harte and finally Declan himself. There was then an autograph and photograph hunting opportunity with the players and the Cup.
