Newtownstewart 4-02 Owen Roes 3-08

Second match of the season against Newtown was played in very poor conditions. Both teams struggled against the wind and rain with Newtownstewart hitting the net twice in the opening half. Owen Roes went in 3 points down at the close of the half.
HalfTime - 1-02 v 2-02

The second half continued in the same way as the first ended with the Newtown boys playing the better football. In the remaining 15 mins however Roes got a power surge and started taking their scores well. They continued battling to the end which eventually saw them as 3 point winners.
