Roes Cruise To Victory in Plumbridge

Owen Roes had to prove themselves after the previous two defeats and they did so in style. It started point for point but then the Roes took control and netted 5 times with Cathal, Ryan and Shane three of the top scorers. The trusty defence made sure all Glenelly's efforts were stopped well before they got anywhere near scoring positions.

Half time - 5-07 to 0-01

The second half commenced with what looked like the beginning of a comeback against the visitors. They scored 2 goals in succession but it was the Roes defence comprising of Kelly, Doherty, Devine and Harper that got them back on track. In fact in Ricey Mc Menamin style it was Ricky Devine who soloed up the field to score a well deserved goal for the green and reds. From there it was Owen Roes who dominated and finished with a flurry of points to end up worthy winners.
