Despite the scoreline Owen Roes may take some heart from this defeat to league leaders Drumquin. A troop of first half wides from the home side meant that they could've went in at the break closer than the actual 0-3 to 0-8 score.
The visitors were thee up early on before Kevin O'Neill pointed after good work from his namesake O'Donnell. Stephen Boyle and Mark O'Neill were the other two O'Neills men to trouble the scorers in the first half.
However the spring in the home side's step was blasted away with minutes of the restart as Drumquin twice goaled, the second despite a good save by Dylan Early. After that Drumquin were in control despite being reduce to 14 men in the last quarter.
Kevin and Mark O'Neill were the home side's point getters in the second half, with Gerard Devine showing well for the home team.
