ANNUAL PRESENTATION DINNER DANCE 2003
PAGE 1
The Club held it's annual Presentation Dinner Dance on Saturday night in the Fir Trees Hotel, and it turned out to be a great success, celebrating both the Club's success and Tyrone's success in 2003. A lot of silverware was on show, including the Sam Maguire Cup, the National Football League Cup, both Ulster Senior and Minor Cups, the Ulster U-21 Cup (all won by Tyrone) and the Tyrone Division 3 League Cup won by the Owen Roe's Senior team. Special guests were Pascal Mc Connell and Cuthbert Donnelly who made a very inspiring after dinner speech.
Thanks to all who made the night such a success: to sponsors Colm Coyle Insurances, the Fir Trees management and staff, our special guests, all those who helped organise in any way, all those who attended and to Galvin Early for his entertaining presentation of the Club and Tyrone's year during the meal. If anyone would like a copy of the CD then please contact Galvin or Joe Hegarty.
As always the Club's awards were presented at the dinner dance. Kiernan Kelly was presented with the Packie Conwell Memorial Cup for Minor Player of the Year, Clodagh Devine was Ladies Minor Player of the Year, Stephen Kelly was Reserve Player of the Year and Willie Doherty was Senior Player of the Year. Special Merit Awards were presented to Brendan Boggs (who was a member of the Tyrone Minor team that won the Ulster Championship and the Tyrone Vocational Schools team that reached the Ulster Final) and to Declan Mc Crossan (who was a member of the Tyrone Senior team that won the N.F.L., the Ulster Senior and the All-Ireland titles this year).
The award for Club Official of the Year was presented to Ambrose Mc Aleer and the Willie Mc Cay Memorial Clubperson of the Year Cup was presented to Declan Bradley. A special presentation was made to the Club's newest referee recruit Malachy Mc Daid and to special guests Pascal Mc Connell and Cuthbert Donnelly.
